  3. Biobased Composites in Marine Environment Conference

After two previous editions organised by INRAE Nantes and University of Portsmouth, University of South Brittany is the third partner of the FLOWER project to host this new event that will highlight scientific work and industrial initiatives on the integration of biocomposite materials in maritime sectors.
The event will go hybrid: the conference will take place onsite in Lorient (Brittany, FR) and a virtual layer will be available for everyone who prefers to join the event remotely.

Over two days on 22-23 April 2021, the hybrid event proposes to give an overview of the state of the art and to contribute to the dissemination of current works through three highlights:

Scientific presentations: European experts in the various academic communities concerned (mechanics, biology, physics, chemistry) will share their latest advances. You can already check the confirmed keynotes speakers on the conference website
Interested in sharing your work? Submit your abstract here until 30/01/2021.

Individual meetings: During a session of an hour each day, you will have the opportunity to network in both industrial and academic communities, deepen some topics or engage future collaborations with the other participants onsite or online through the B2B meeting platform*, facilitated by BDI’s EEN team for the Eurolarge Innovation programme.
*You will be able to plan your meetings with a link provided after your registration.

Companies pitchs: Discover how biocomposites inspire the maritime industry with the testimony of several European companies. You can apply to showcase your experience and company in front of a hundred participants during the two pitchs sessions (5-minute) by contacting or XXX.

Do not miss the opportunity and register to the event from 15/02/2021

Biobased Composites in Marine Environment Conference 2021 is organised by the University of South Brittany (IRDL Laboratory) within the framework of the European project FLOWER (Interreg VA France (Channel) England Programme), in partnership with Bretagne Développement Innovation (through the Eurolarge Innovation Programme and European Entreprise Network), Audélor – Lorient Technopôle, Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Archipel (citizens institute of UBS promoting its maritime and coastal identity).
